Women Wedding Photographers in Chennai

Sowmya is one of the few professional women wedding photographers in Chennai, and prefers a photojournalist approach in Indian Weddings – a Bio Engineer and a post graduate in Psychology, Sowmya wears multiple hats but enjoys the role of a photographer more than anything else.

Photography for me is a passion first, by being a  women wedding photographer in Chennai, it gives me an opportunity to focus only on photography and leave the rest of my career which has always helped in earning my bread and butter.  Still I hesitate to make “Sowmya Captures” as a wedding photography company which does multiple weddings on a single “Muhurtam” and I believe it does no justice to the name which I have decided to go with,  so all the weddings that I undertake will be lead by me. I started off by shooting Muslim weddings for a few wedding photographers in Chennai, which sometimes required a separate photographer for the bride’s side and I never knew that women wedding photographers in Chennai were so much in demand! 🙂 I enjoyed doing it and was elated when the customer directly called and appriciated me for the cameo I do when the bride is getting ready.
